Provides a unique perspective of the history of the ship, guide to what divers will see during their visit, and an overview of hazards that may be encountered while diving on the USS Oriskany  The course normally takes 1 hour and is scheduled by request.  Students completing the course are provided with a personalized "USS Oriskany Diver" Card, and recognition certificate.

JULY 4TH, 2008

Once again Sea World Divers will visit the famous USS Oriskany.  What better day to visit a part of history, that was very much a symbol of our Freedom.  The Big "O" sits on a sandy bottom at 212'.  The top of the structure is reached at 67'.  There is plenty to see and most dives spend their time at 100' or less.  July will bring warm water for diving.  We do recommend advance or experienced divers for this dive.  The boat ride is typically 1 to 2 hours.  Pensacola is a premiere dive destination, with lots of inshore and offshore dive sites.  Great to add on for extra days of diving.  Friday's dive will cost $150 per person, does not include tax, tanks,  rentals or airfills.  SWD has reserved three extra hotel rooms at discounted prices for first few people to sign up.  Talk to Ruby for details.  Come join us...take an affordable vacation and stay with us in Pensacola for a couple of days....Only 8 spaces will be available on the boat...ACT NOW

Trip includes: Airport transfers in Mexico, and 7 night at the Catalonia Riviera Maya.  This resort is a 4 star all inclusive resort with 5 freshwater swimming pools, four restaurants, a snack bar and 5 different beverage bars.  A number of water sports plus your package of 8 ocean dives, 2 cenotes dives and 1 night dive. What can I say to the people who took me diving in 63 degrees water, with rip-roaring currents, surge, low visibility, chop & diving from zodiacs.  That sounds like potential misery....BUT then I added 22 Whale Sharks, Galapagos Sharks, hundreds of hammerheads, turtles, dolphins, sea lions, sting rays, eagle rays, mobules, sea horses...What a fantastic trip!  You always deliver fantastic destinations & a great groups of people, but this time you really outdid yourselves...This was truly the trip of a lifetime & I feel so blessed to have been able to participate in it.
